Lakkar Bazar is a narrow road adjoining The Ridge on one side and Indira Gandhi Medical college on other side.
It is also the start of the climb to Jakhoo peak. Located at a height of 2200 meters above sea level, it is one of its kind market from where you can buy gift items and souvenirs made up of woof for your friends and family.
We see a roadside market here also known as wood market and it is from where this place got its name as lakkar bazar. The shops are full of wooden items ranging from decorative items, gift items, jewelry box, furniture items, toys and the objects used in kitchen. None of you can resist the attraction of stylized wooden sticks. Tourists take these objects as souvenirs with them.

This rink was set up in 1920 and now opens from starting of December to end of February every year. There is also a roller skating rink in the market of Lakkar Bazar.
